Shape Jam 2019 Submission: N I N E
N I N E is my submission made in exactly 3 hours (!!) for Shape Jam 2019. Why 3 hours? Because the first concept I made would have required an extremely long time to complete the level building and test thoroughly (though it's definitely going to be posted in the near future).
I must admit I'm not really proud about this game: the game concept itself, I fear, is kind of a stretch on the rules (using platforms with complex shapes, although allowed by the rules, feels a lot like cheating) and the execution suffered time issues. I wouldn't really consider the game particularly original, though I myself found it pretty fun to play through it.
Anyways, since I didn't want to steer too far away from the concept of the jam, I've at least tried to cut short on text and GUI. I've made a point in not writing the rules anywhere nor the inputs, as I trust the players will find them out autonomously. I'm looking for some criticism on whether the rules and inputs were made clear enough, but after the Jam ends I'll be writing a devlog about what I used to try to make controls intuitive.
Good luck to everyone else who's submitting their game for the Jam, too!
