Bump! Version: Biggest Update Yet

Although Bump! was uploaded just yesterday (14/12) on Itch.io, it's one of my longest standing projects which, though technically simple, has been one hell of a learning experience. I can't count how many times I've redone the game from scratch to implement some best practices that made the next batch of work a lot easier.

And although the game was uploaded just yesterday, today it gets to version "Biggest Update Yet" (BUY). The reason behind the name is pretty simple:

1. In first place, it IS its biggest update yet, since it's also the first update;
2. Secondly, I put in a lot more work just between yesterday and today than I would have put in a month or so, so I think it's a pretty important update for the game.

So, here's the (rather short) changelog:

• Improved AI: I still want to stress out how important the player vs player interaction is for the game, but I couldn't help not having an AI at all. So I've been designing something that can teach the basics to a player without being overwhelming. I might consider adding in some difficulty levels in the future, but I'll probably leave it off. The implementation of the AI will be discussed in another, more technical, devlog, for those interested. Also, it's worthy of note that it's not hard to abuse the AI in order to win, but that'll take some familiarity with the game, so if you can abuse the AI, you also learned how to play, so it did its job well.
• Cheat Codes: I've implemented some cheat codes. I won't publish them as that'd make them lose the "cheat-y" feeling, but they won't be hard to scavenge, I can tell you. There's a grand total of 9 of them, with one of those being "useful" (as it enables a competitive setting, with as little distractions as possible), some are less useful (maybe you can use to learn new moves? Or either way to train), some are useless, but quite fun if you ask me. I'm looking for more ideas, so if you have any feel free to contact me.
